adding field to DEFAULT New Task or saving customized Task as Temp

that pretty much says it all - i'd like to have a New Task opened with a
custom field or two without having to go into Develop for every new Task...

help?

let me simplify my question:

i added a field, "Project Name" to P.2, enabled Display and renamed P.2 to
Project. i have to do this fer every Task i create, though. I would like very
much for it to be available by default whenever i start a New Task, but i
don't see how to...

That's all i want to do. Can this be done, and if so, would you mind showing
me how?

You need to publish the form to the folder, then on the Properties dialog for
the folder, make the form the default for that folder. See:
