Adding Fields to Form

I am in design view of a form and have added a sub-form. I am now tryin
to add 2 fields from a particular table above the sub-form to displa
the clients name, but the field list button is grayed out. I have tw
tables so far with a one-to-many relationship.

did you set that particular table as the main form's
RecordSource?
