There are several way to install fonts. On Mac,
you can drag and drop on fonts folders in either main level or User
level just find Fonts Folder.
Or you can open Font Book and drag and drop on to font book and it will
help you install.
avoid if possible unless its a replacement for a system's font from
installing in system Fonts folder.
Also Mac is not picky about font types.
Normal postscript fonts
Opentype fonts
Apple TrueType fonts
Windows TrueType fonts
datafork TrueType Font df (used mostly with UNIX/Linux systems) df fonts
normally are used in system fonts folder only.
In the Insert Menu there is an option to insert a symbol. When that choice is selected, a series of symbols appears along with a LIMITED selection of other fonts. I want to expand this limited fonts list with other technical fonts that I already have installed on my system.
