Adding Grid lines to document?

J

Jason

Hi:

On many occassions I have wanted to include grid lines in a document but
haven't been able to find a way to do this and have them printed. In the
past, I have used tables of various sizes to reproduce a grid.

Is there a way that this can be done using Word without having to manually
draw lines or use tables?

Thx.

What's your objection to using tables? You need to set borders if you want
them to print -- table gridlines themselves never print. If you want the
gridlines to be independent of the document content, you could put the table
in the header and set the header margin to a negative value. That tells Word
to allow the header and body to overlap.
