Hi!

I am trying to add a heading to a table of contents after a column break. However, word seems unable to recognize the heading - interestingly I have made sure the text is listed as a heading. Further, I have deleted and re-typed the text and added it as a heading. I have also updated the table of contents.

Is this a bug in word? Is are there any tricks or secrets to resolve the issue? I need the text to appear in the table of contents, but it simply cannot recognize the heading.

Thanks!

No, it's not a bug in Word; column breaks are irrelevant insofar as a Table of Contents is concerned. You need only ensure your entire heading is formatting with one of Word's Heading Styles, then refresh the Table of Contents; it's by no means apparent to me what you mean by "added it as a heading".
