adding hyper link to text problem

Hi, I have an older version of Pub. 2000.
I am having trouble adding hyperlinks to text.
The helps menu tells me to~

*On the Insert menu, click Hyperlink.

*Under Create a hyperlink to, click the type of hyperlink you want.


*Under Hyperlink information, specify an address or page for the hyperlink.


however, i have no "hyperlink" option under my insert menu.

I also do not have the add-on disc that came with the program

Is there a way to do this manually?

Joanne, it appears you've sent multiple calls for help on this topic.

FYI news groups are not staffed by company reps. Folks found on news groups
can be MPVs or others who are willing to share their knowledge with those
who are having difficulties.

It could take days to get a response, depending if the visitor/s have a
solution for the problem.
