Adding image formats to Access list

I wanted to know if anyone knew if I could add different
image formats(using VBA code or whatever the case may be)
to the list that Access can include in forms and reports?
I want to be able to include metafiles where the extension
name is *.wmf.
Any help on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

There are downloadable sample databases illustrating three approaches to
handling images in Access. I just used the "external files" method to show a
..wmf image on my machine. If yours will not display, then you most likely
need to install the "graphics filters" -- they come with Office or
standalone Word, but not with standalone Access.

Attempting to acquire that same image as an OLE object displayed the
dreaded hourglass for quite a long period but did acquire the image. I
definitely do have imaging software associated with .wmf, so I suspect it is
a memory or processing problem, as acquiring an image into an OLE Object
does create a bitmap thumbnail that is often larger than the original file.

Read the article that is included in the download for suggestions on how to
choose which approach to use. Feel free to use the application as a
"starter" if you wish.
