Adding just the last entry

Hi everyoney,

I have a report, which contains: client, client's dept, engagement, month
billed, total billable days(TBD), days used(DU), and remaining days(RD).
RD=TBD-DU. My goup header is client. In the group header, i have calculated
a total for TDU field. I want to calculate a total for the RD field;
however, i just want the most recent entry. For example,
Consultant, Joe Smith billed client, Access in sept for 1 day and .50 day in
Oct
i only want to add the .50 for each consultant's client. NOTE: each client
may have different engagements going simultaneously. So i would need to make
sure that each last entry for each client is added. How do i write this
function?
I read some instructions on line about using Last in the query, but is said
do not add. That does not do me any good because i need to add my fields.

FYI, i have the same info in forms which includes a subform where i enter
the DU and it calculates the RD. So, do i need to do something on my form?

Hello,

I still need help with this question. I have not received a solution, so is
this possible? This will explain why i have not received a response. I have
looked through previous questions and have not found a question and or answer
similar to my problem. Please, I need help.
