Adding Line Numbers

I've seen this answered somewhere before but didn't need to use it. Can someone tell me how to add line numbers to a report? I'm sure it's very simple, but I just can't get it done. Thanks..

Add a control with =1 as ControlSource and RunningSum property set to "Over
All" or "Over Group" as appropriate.
