adding many users

I have a spreadsheet with, oh, about 500+ users including name, windows
userid, initials, email address, etc. All information I need to
include those as users of the system.

A majority of these people will be resources as well as users.
However, some (probably 50) will be users in terms of PWA viewing.

Is there a way to batch in regular users without having to key in each
entry?

Thanks,
Andy

Andy --

You can quickly add the 450+ resources to the Enterprise Resource Pool by
copying those resources from the Excel spreadsheet to an .mpp file, and then
importing them into Project Server using the Import Resources to Enterprise
wizard. There is no rapid way of which I am aware to import the other 50
users as PWA user accounts, however. Sorry.

Dale,
Is it better to add those 50 (or more) as "users only" or just go ahead
and put then in as resources? Can't the PMs filter those people out as
they build teams from enterprise?
Thanks
Andy

You could certainly add these 50+ people as resources in the Enterprise
Resource Pool. If you want the PM's to be able to filter out these
resources, you will need to differentiate them in some way from the other
resources. Hope this helps.
