Adding new tasks always has constrant "Start No Earlier Than" - W

I am using MS Project 2007 and every time I insert a new task it has a
constrant of Start no earlier than on it. I have to go and remove each one.
Why does it do that and is there a profile to stop it?

Hi Tim,

Double check your settings in Tools > Options, Schedule tab. Most
likely the option "New tasks" is set to "Start on Current date"
rather than "Project start date".
