Adding outline code to global resource pool

I created an outline code to add to the global resource pool. I can add it to
the global template but not to the global resource pool. If I go to add a
column to the global resource pool and look in the list to find the outline
code it is not in the list. But if I try to add it to the global template it
is in the list to add it there. Why can't I add it to the global resource
pool.

When you make changes to the Enterprise Global file, you must save and close
the file, and then exit Microsoft Project Professional entirely. When you
launch the software again, you will find the new outline code available for
use in the Enterprise Resource Pool. Hope this helps.

Can you have a multichoice dropdown in a regular project without using
project server. Just curious
