adding page numbers

is there a way to have page numbers on each page show up as a background water mark, just for tracking lots of pages but dont want it to actually print just would make like easy when scanning lots of pages of a doc.

You could put page numbers in the Header or Footer using "Hidden" text,
then in Options set Hidden text "on" in View and "off" in Print
