Adding page to favourites folder

L

Lynn

All too often I get emails from potential customers directly from my website
asking about different styles etc.
I regularly have to refer them back the site to look at an alternative
instead and I find that many of them can't remember the website address.
Of course the average person would use the Favourites Folder to keep these
things in but many don't.
Is there a way to have the website automatically put into the Favourites
whenever the page is closed down, or even when anything at all is selected
on the viewed page?
Is this legal, and if not can anyone suggest an alternative that is carried
out by default rather than personal selection.

Here's a link to a page that tells you how to do this:

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/addbook.htm

However, I can't help but think, if you're getting emails from these people,
and they are looking for something specific in your web site, why don't you
just respond with the link to the page they need to see? Remember that
convenience is a big selling point, and I assume you want to make things
convenient for them so they buy something.

The script you provided requires the visitor to click on a link to add it to
favorites. I don't believe there is any way to have it done automatically.
I hope not, anyway.

Hi Tom,

I realize that, and perhaps should have mentioned it myself.

And I hope not too! ;-)
