Can I add a page to an existing document without changing the numbers in the footer? For example, I have a 10 page document and need to add a page 5A but still keep the following page at 6.

Thank you for the help.

Hi Wilson;

This can certainly be done but it requires the use of Section Breaks. Pages
1-5 would be in Sect 1, page 5A would be in Sect 2 & pages 6-? Would be in
Sect 3. How complex a task depends on whether you're already using section
breaks for other purposes.

Information on using Section Breaks as well as the specific issue you asked
about can be found in the free download entitled "Bend Word To Your Will":

http://word.mvps.org/Mac/Bend/BendWordToYourWill.html

Section Breaks are discussed in the Word Help topic: About sections and
section breaks, and your question is addressed on page 60 of "Bend Word...".

Reply with any specific question that may arise.
