adding Proper Names to Word 2001 autocorrect & dictionary

Hi:

Does someone have experience adding a proper name (i.e. Last Name) to
mac Word 2001 AutoCorrect/Dictionary?
I'm trying to add a last name for a person that is underlined from
the result of a spell check. I ran the Office 2001 update. But I don't see any add
button for my need.

Any pointers or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Thomwon,

What you want to do is add the word (it doesn't matter if it's a proper name
or not) to your dictionary; this isn't an AutoCorrect situation. So what
you're doing is clicking into the word with the red squiggle and then going
to Tools> Spelling and the Add button is greyed out? You said you don't
even see an Add button and that's not likely. Or are you doing something
else?
