Bella

Hi,

I have created a view in the project centre. I want to be able to group by
RBS (under Filter Group Search), but the RBS does not exist in the drop down
menu under Group by:. How do I add RBS to this drop down list? HELP PLEASE!!

Thanks,
Bella

To make any field available for grouping in a PWA view, simply include the
field in the View definition. In your situation, however, this would be
impossible since the RBS field is a Resource field, which cannot be included
in any Project Center view. If you actually mean Resource Center, then you
should include the RBS field in your view definition, and then you can apply
grouping on that field. Hope this helps.

Dale,

Based on your answer, here is what I woulld like to do:
Create a view in the resource centre that includes: RBS,task
name,Start,Finish,Work,Actual Work,%work complete.
I am finding that when I'm trying to create a view that the RBS available
field is not there. I see Reource name, resource group, but not RBS.
HELP!!!!

Frustrated, Bella

Did you actually add the RBS field in the definition of the View in PWA?
What version of Project Server are you using?

Dale,
I am using the 2003 Enterprise version ( MSP with PWA integrated with
Outlook). I'm not sure what you mean by adding the RBS in the definition of
the view? A RBS field does exist in the resource centre. I just want to be
able to create a view in the project centre that includes the RBS, start
date, finish date, work, actual work, % work complete. If this is possible,
please list the steps required.
Sorry if I'm being difficult, but i'm stuck on this one.

We must not be communicating very well. In my first reply, I stated that
you cannot include the RBS field in a Project Center view. Then you told me
you wanted a Resource Center view that includes the RBS field. I told you
to include the RBS field in the definition of that view. So, where is the
confusion? Let us know.

Dale,

No confusion on your part, just mine. I understand now.

Thanks for your patience.
