Adding resources - duration adjusting

In Project 2000, I have many tasks that have one generic
resource and many that have two generic resources
assigned. My tasks are noted as Fixed Work. When I
increase the number of resources on the tasks with one
resource assigned, the duration changes accordingly. When
adding resources to the tasks with two generic resources,
the duration adjusts correctly for the first resource
listed, but not the second resource. I've tried
increasing the units for the second resource before the
first and vice versa, but it won't change the duration
based upon the additional 2nd resource type. Does anyone
know why?

Hi Robin,

You should examine what happens to the "duration" of the effort of each
resource in the Task Usage view. Duration on task level is impossible to
interpret when there are several resources since it only shows the longest
duration of all assignments.
