adding scanned attachments

I have an hp all in one printer. In order to use attach scanned documents
to my email, I've been told that I have to have Outlook or Outlook Express.
I dislike the idea of downgrading from the new Windows Mail in order to use
my scanner. I am not real proficient with computers but can usually
navigate my way around with instruction. Is there anything I can do to be
able to use the exisiting applications?
Appreciate any help

Well, maybe, but you're asking in the wrong place. This newsgroup is for
questions about the Office Pro database software Microsoft Access(TM). Please
repost your question in an Windows Mail newsgroup. Scroll down the list of
subjects on the webpage to find one.

Tina you do not have to down grade
just scan your document into MS Word
1. new document, tools, insert picture from scanner (OCR software)
second option
scan the image into your computer and save it with a (jpg) extension with
what ever file name you choose
The scanning software should guide you though this process.
after you have the file created in your computer do one of two thing 1.
Paste the contents directly into your e-mail
2. Attach the file into a e-mail

Hi there...

As long as your default email is windows mail, i think that would solve the
problem.. Windows mail is just a newer version of the outlook express.. so
it should be compatible. but your default mail program in your HP Printer
settings should point to Windows Mail.

Email me back if that doesnt work.... Cheers!
