Adding second TOC or TOF

I am using Word 2003. I have an existing TOC. I am trying to add a Table of
Figures (TOF). When I do, I get the confirmation box to "Replace the Existing
Table of Contents?". There is a "yes" and a "cancel" button. Neither button
allows me to add the TOF. I remember earlier versions had a "yes" and a "no"
thus allowing an addition.

How can I add a TOF after an existing TOC?

Thanks,

It's possible that you inadvertently have the existing TOC selected when you
are attempting this. Make sure that the insertion point is well out of range
by leaving a couple of empty paragraphs between the existing TOC and the
point where you want to place the TOF (and make sure that those empty
paragraphs aren't actually inside the TOC field, a situation that is
unfortunately all too easy to achieve.

Excellent! I discovered that the closing bracket for the TOC field code was
adjacent to my Heading 1 header, thus no matter where I started to insert the
TOF, I was still "inside" the TOC.
As a final hint, it seems best to perform this activity with field codes
shown, thus you can accurately place the insertion point.
Thanks again!
