Adding self to an existing task

We have a "standard" working time of less than 8 hours per day in our project
calendar. However when a resource adds themself to an existing task 1 day
defaults to 8 hours. Creating a new task in the same projects gives a
standard working day. The project and the task calendar appear to be OK so
any hints as to what is going on?

Hi Martin

have you checked the definition of a day under tools / options / calendar -
this needs to match up with what you have in tools / change working time.
Additionally, if you are using a calendar other than "standard", you will
need to change the resources' to have this calendar too in their base
calendar column (resource sheet)
