Adding Styles to Captions

Hi

I was wondering if it is possible to add a particular style to a caption that it can include in the chapter heading. I want to include a style called section heading so the when a caption is added it adds it 1.1, 1.2 etc. At the moment it cannot recognise the chapter heading as it is searching for "Heading 1" style which is not used

Are you using any heading styles?

If not, you may have to do it by creating a new label for each chapter. For
example, you can create a label that contains Figure 1 - to which the
sequential number will be appended each time you insert the caption.
