Adding task date1 field to Resource Assignment view

hmm, I should be able to work this out....

I've added formula to the task date1 field that works fine in Project. I've
also then clicked Add Field to Enterprise, closed and opened project pro,
republished the project etc. I've then added the date1 to a resource
assignment view, but it is always blank. Anyone seen this?

okay, so I've worked out why, it is because of course all these views are
Assignment views, and this field is associated with the task - so anyone know
of any way to make it an assignment field so I can see it in my tasks and
other assignment views?

A resource custom field can be seen at the assignment level in the resource
usage and task usage views but won't be visible in the gantt views.

I would suggest using the resource custom field and applying your dates in
either one of the usage type views (task or resource). A task custom field
will not work for you in this case.
