adding text in a currency field

I need to add the text pick "incld" or "N/A" to a currency
field when the cost is "included" or "does not apply: N/A"

You can't.

A Currency field is not a text string. It's actually stored internally
as a binary bitstring 16 bytes long, interpreted as a huge scaled
integer.

Either use a separate field, or (probably better) set the Format
property of the form or report control displaying this field to show
the desired text. How are you indicating "included" or "N/A" in your
table? In a separate field, or two fields?

Well, I wanted to have it in the Fee currency field, but
did not think far enough ahead - sorry !

I have not created the input form yet, so I can look into
your suggestion and use the form to add those picks...

If I have a problem with the form, I will redirect to
the "Forms" section and I will think this out better
next time!
