adding text over an image

Hi,
I'm adding a few mechanical drawings to a large 60+ page document but I
need to add in a bit of text. I made the drawings using QuickCad and
saved them as JPG files. I tried adding the text in QuickCad but the
text gets too blurry once I add it to the document. I also tried adding
text using PCimage editor. The problem with that (and with QuickCad as
well) is that once I add the images to the document I need to re size
them so they look good and fit properly. When I do that of course the
text resizes, I need all the text to be the same size. All the drawings
are a different size too. I tried using wordart to add text over the
image but it seems impossible to always have the same size text. The
other thing I tried was setting the images behind the text. The problem
there was getting the text in the exact spot I wanted it and also if
anyone edits one of the 60 pages I have a feelings it's just going to
screw things up.

Anyone know any easy way to do this??

Thanks in advanced

If you format the image as Behind Text, you can use ordinary document text,
but for this purpose a text box (No Line, No Fill) will do what you need.
You can specify the font and type size and the size of the text box, which
will remain unchanged, but you may need to move the text box if you resize
the image after adding it. If the CAD image is In Line With Text, the text
box will need to be In Front of Text.
