adding text to a number

How do I have the abbreviation Lbs. (Pounds) automatically
attatched to the end of a number entered into a cell
ex: enter 1000 in to cell A1 and have returned 1000Lbs.

Brian,

Go to Format | Cells | Custom and make an appropriate custom entry with the
text being in quotes...you might wish to leave a space

#,##0_) " lbs";[Red](#,##0) " lbs"

That is one example....so if you enter 5 into the cell, you get 5 lbs
