adding text without a text box

I'd like to add text to the inside of a circle, but I
don't want the text box surrounding it. Is this
possible? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Cheryl,

Not in Word, not directly, at least. You could possible
superimpose a WordArt with circular text over you circle,
and group them.

Otherwise, you need to create this in a dedicated graphics
program.

Right-click on the circle and choose Add Text. This inserts a text box
inside the shape. It's still a square text box and very difficult to format
(hard to access the controls for inside margin, etc.), but it will
grow/shrink with the circle and stay attached to it, which a separate text
box will not do.
