Adding to exisitng RBS.

RBS Question:

I want to add to my existing RBS structure, currently it sits like this.

•Company123 (this root of RBS)

•Dept 1.
oSub Dept A
oSub Dept B

•Dept 2
oSub Dept C
oSub Dept D

•Dept 3
oSub Dept E
oSub Dept F


I would like to add Dept 4 and sub sections to it. Is this possible and how.

In the future, please tell us what version of Project Server you are using.
2002, 2003, or 2007? If you are using 2002 or 2003, do the following:

1. Launch Project Professional and connect to Project Server with
administrator permissions.
2. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Open Enterprise Global.
3. Click Tools - Customize - Enterprise Fields.
4. Click the Custom Outline Codes tab.
5. Select the Resource option.
6. Scroll to the bottom of the list of outline codes until you see the RBS
field.
7. Select the RBS field and click the Edit Lookup Table button.
8. Edit the RBS field and click Close, and then click OK.
9. Save and close the Enterprise Global file, then exit and relaunch
Project Professional.

If you are using 2007, do the following:

1. Navigate to the PWA Home page.
2. Click the Server Settings link in the Quick Launch menu.
3. Click the Enterprise Custom Field Definition link in the Enterprise Data
section of the page.
4. Click the RBS lookup table in the Lookup Tables for Custom Fields
section of the page.
5. Edit the RBS field and click the Save button.
