Adding to MS Word 2002 Calendar Templates

T

tsarge5

I recently downloaded a calendar template from microsoft.com

I would like to be able to use this template for future years through MS
Word 2002.

It is currently only for 2008.

Is there any way to add to the templates that MS Word 2002 uses?

This template has boxes on the calendar. None of the templates within
Calendar Wizard have boxes.

Am I asking the impossible?

Thanks for any help!

Are you saying that none of the calendar templates here meet your needs?

Beth,

A number of people have posted specifically asking how to modify the
calendar wizard template to include the gridlines automatically. A quick
Google search reveals that the same question has been posted in a number of
other newsgroups. Your response doesn't address that question. I too would
like to add the gridlines to the wizard template (rather than add them
manually) as well as modify the basic template in other ways (change the
default font, for example). Can you help with the specific question?

thanks

The question I addressed was in regards to modifying a template for future
years, but in answer to your question, if you want to modify a Wizard then
you would need to do it using VBA since that is what is used code the
Wizard. Although, depending on the Wizard you are using (I believe there are
several so I don't know which one you are referring to) the VBA Project may
be locked to prevent modification.

If your question is about modifying a calendar to "move" your current
information to the a future year, then unfortunately, it can't be done. (I
guess I shouldn't say "can't", it can be done but not automatically and the
manual modifications usually take longer than simply creating a new
calendar.) If that's what you are looking for then there are various
calendar programs available, you may want to Google for them. I think there
are some free ones out there but most would require a fee. (Note that most
Office users use Outlook for their calendaring needs.)

The calendars available online are only Word documents/templates. IOW, they
don't include automation to update the content as a Calendar program would.
