Adding users from Global Address List

Hello,

This is more of a sharepoint questions but can apply to PS -

When adding users, there is an option to pick from an addressbook - there is
a little address book image that I can click on to pick users. How can I
connect this to the GAL so that I don't have to type in individual names or
AD accounts. We have PMs that would like to add users from the GAL by
clicking on the address book link.

Any help would be appreciated.
