adding validation to a form

Hi,

I am using a form that contains several text fields and buttons for a
college astronomy class. Near the top of the form, I have a box for their
name (becomes part of the subject heading of the email I receive) and a box
for their email address (which is used as the return address so I can easily
return their graded work).

My problem is that many students enter their email addresses incorrectly, so
I would like to add another email text box near the end of the form and have
the two entries compared - with the result be to warn them there is an
error - otherwise to proceed ahead.

I have done some hunting for scripts and such, but have not been able to get
any of them to work. Could someone help?
