Adding values in a column

Can you add values in a column to get a total and if yes how?

Hi Cherie,

It depends upon what you want to add. Some values (work, cost) are
summed when you show the Project Summary task.

I want to be able to add up the total in a "number#" column.

Okay, I assume this is one of the custom number fields. Customize the
field (right click the column heading and choose customize) and set
the option for Group or summary rows to sum. That should show the
total of the number field in the summary task. Add the project
summary task to show the total overall.
