Adding WBS Column in PWA

M

M Colodzin

My users are having difficulty finding specific tasks when they are in the
"Assign Myself to an Existing Task View." I would like to add the WBS
column to this view so they can simply search by WBS.

I didn't see a specific view for the Assign Myself to a Task page in the
Admin/ Manage Views page.

Did I just miss the view in the manage veiws list? If not, Is there another
way to add the WBS column?

Hi M,

you will need to modify the view within Admin>Manage Views and then add the
Column WBS to the view. This will display the WBS.
I have just checked and it is there
hope this helps

Marc,

Thanks for the response.

I've already added the WBS to the Timesheet View and it appears correctly in
users' timesheets. However, it does not show up when users click "Assign
Myself to an Exising Task."

When the list of projects comes up and I select the one that contains the
tasks I want to add myself to, the only columns visible are ID (which is
actually the Unique ID), Task Name, Work, Start, Finish and Resources.

I can't figure out which view I would modify to make changes in the "Assign
Myself to an Existing Task" page. I've already tried changing all of the
Assignment Views, but no luck.

Any suggestions?

Hi Michelle,

Sorry to say, but you cannot change this view. 2003 does not give you a
configuraiton option for this view.
Sorry

That's what I was afraid of. Oh well....I'll have to come up with a
workaround.
