ADDITION to "Migrating OneNote program from XP machine to Vista ma

I should also have noted that I don't think I can use the Windows Easy
Transfer Companion, because the source (XP) machine doesn't have SP2.

The power settings on the XP machine (a Toshiba laptop) were corrupted and
it always "thought" it was running on battery even when it was plugged in,
even when the battery was removed and it clearly WAS running on AC. That's
why I replaced it in the first place and sent it down the food chain to the
kids.

But I'd still like to retrieve that OneNote program if there's any possible
way to do so. There must be some way to copy it to a disk or something.

Thanks again.

Your vendor should have give you the license with the serial of
OneNote.

Stored in the registry there should be the product code (not the
serial). I don't know if from that you could get the serial (probably
not).
