Thank you Raghu
My problem is I wanted to add extra fonts and I cannot
find any "fonts"directory in the Office XP Professional
2002 or Windows XP. If I remember correctly it could be
done with 98.

Hi Kal,

Installing new fonts
Close any open Windows applications, such as Microsoft Word or Microsoft
Outlook®.
In Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes.
Note If you are using Control Panel Classic view or Microsoft Windows
2000, double-click Fonts, and then go to step 4.

In the task pane, under See Also, click Fonts.
Note If a folder tree appears instead of the task pane, click Folders on
the toolbar, and then under See Also, click Fonts.

On the File menu, click Install New Font.
In the Drives list, click the drive you want.
In the Folders list, double-click the folder that contains the fonts you
want to add.
Under List of fonts, click the font you want to add, and then click OK.

Rick V.

Greetings,

I'm new to this conversation, but also looking for more fonts. Using . I had to completely rebuild my system from scratch. I have Windows 2000 Pro and and running Office XP Student/Teacher. After installing all apps, I just have about a dozen basic fonts. I also have Office XP Small Business, and Office 2000 Small Business original CDs.

What I'm looking for is some of the more common, useful fonts, e.g. Arial Narrow, Book Antiqua, Goudy Old Style, Century Gothic. I've tried your suggestions, but cannot find any font files.

Thanks for any help you may offer.

Yes I have, an HP OfficeJet, and it's been working fine.

I do have access to another system. Think what I'll do is just copy the Fonts folder from that PC onto a CD and then copy the fonts onto my system.

Thanks.
