additional mailbox

I have been trying to set up an additional mailbox with
Outlook 2000SP-3. No matter what I try, I keep getting
the message "Please enter your user name and password for
the following server." I have tried to set it up using
and not using a password.
What am I doing wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
