additions to existing access 2000 database

I figured out how to add checkboxes to our existing
database, but I don't know how to make them function. If
I check one, it is checked on all 9000 contacts. How do I
fix this? I am not fluent in Access, so an answer
for "dummies" would be appreciated.

You need to add the checkbox(es) to the underlying tables. If you are just
adding a checkbox to a form, you really have multiple views of the one checkbox.
If you have a checkbox and have its source set to the added field then it can
display the value it is bound to. Otherwise, it displays the one value you give
it in all the rows.

Hi Jill,

Your CheckBox control is not bound to a field in your Table.

Make sure the Control Source of your checkbox control is bound to a field
in your table.
