AddMenu menu items

I am creating menu items in a macro using AddMenu. I attach this to the
Startup menu bar.When I open the db, the rest of my menu items (File,
Tools...) go into hiding. Only when I hold down the shift key can I view
those Access menus, except then my custom menus don't show. Is there a way
to toggle between my menus and Access's without having to close and re-open?
