Address actions

When I click 'copy name address to clipboard' it doesn't save the
business name which seems very odd. Is there a way of making Word to
this?

Thanks

I'm not familiar with what you seem to be doing. Where do you click "copy
name address to clipboard" and what is the end result you are trying to get?

Next to the address in a contact's "card" in address book in entourage,
there is a little icon - a person with an information "i". Mouseover
says it's called 'Address Actions'. Click this and one of the four menu
options is 'Copy name and address to clipboard'. I use this to paste
into a Word document. Trouble is, it doesn't include the contact's
company name which, for addressing purposes, is essential

I think you'd better ask in the Entourage group rather than the Word group.
Although since the company name isn't listed in that portion next to the
"address action", I suspect the problem is coded in.

You might be better off using the options from within Word to insert contact
information. Experiment with View>Toolbars>Contact. Including the work
address this way includes the company name.

You might be better off using the options from within Word to insertPS. If you set Tools | AutoCorrect, AutoText tab to "show AutoComplete for
contacts," you can do the same thing within the doc without showing the
toolbar--accept the autocomplete prompt then right-click to add the address.

Names entered this way are smart tags, with purple dotted underline, and
also fields. They are updateable--not sure if they update themselves. It's
also possible to convert them to plain text instead of fields.
