Address Book... and Active Directory....

Can Microsoft exchange read the user information from active directory?

Currently I have entered the user phone number information in address book.
Is it possible to enter the user information in the active directory and get
these in formations in the address book?

Thanks,

Harry

Exchange 2000/2003 Global Address List is Active Directory.

Exchange 5.5 has its own directory, but there are ways to get it to sync
with Active Directory. You might want to do some research on what is the
Active Directory Connector (ADC). (Note: There are 2 flavors of ADC. One
comes with Windows 2000/2003 Server and one comes with Exchange 2000/2003.
The one bundled in Exchange 200x is designed to help migrate from Exchange
5.5 to Exchange 200x.)
