Address book displayed nothing via “Remote Desktop Connectionâ€

Greetings,

I moved the Outlook PST file to the Windows Server 2003 server box; the PST
file is accessible both via LAN and “Remote Desktop Connection†(Terminal
Server). The Outlook’s “address books†and “contacts†information displayed
fine via the LAN connection but the “Address book†displayed nothing via
“Remote Desktop Connectionâ€. I would like the Address book information to be
displayed via both LAN and Remote Desktop Connection (Terminal Service).
Thanks

Patrickc

First of all, your configuration is not supported. Accessing a .pst file across the LAN can result in higher network traffic and data loss.

On the mail profile for the TS user, did you add the Outlook Address Book through Tools | EMail Accounts?

Hello Sue,

I have only 3 users accessing the .PST via LAN and hopefully that will not
create a LAN traffic issue. I created the email accounts via “Control Panelâ€
“Mailâ€. Will create email account in the Outlook Tool | Email account
solves my problem?

Thanks

I hope they're not trying to do it simultaneously. That won't work at all.

Both places to create mail accounts do the same thing.
