Address Book Folders

B

Bob Simon

In Outlook Express I had many of my addresses conveniently organized
into folders. I can double-click the .wab file and see each of the
folders and their contents. However, after importing my address book
into Outlook 2003, I have ALL my contacts in alphabetical order, but
no folders.

How can I get my old address book folders into Outlook?

Is there another way to recreate my old address book structure other
than manually setting up new folders and individually moving email
addresses into the proper folder?

No, or I would have posted otherwise.
Messages, yes.
Contacts, no.

Thank you for your replies, Russ. I must say, I'm surprised and
dissapointed that what would appear to be such a basic importing
function is not supported. Surely this must be a hot item for a lot
of users, and both programs have been around for years. At the least,
I would have imagined that someone would have built a utility to add
what Microsoft failed to include.

I agree.
It should be pretty clear by now that Outlook and Outlook Express are two
completely different programs developed by two completely different
teams--who have yet to meet one another. The only thing the two programs
share is the name.
