address book has no history?

My outlook 2000 does not display the address history. How do I enable the
history file?

Wanted to clarify:
In Outlook 2000, when I send a new message to some one I previously emailed:
I do not get the history of the addresses I have recently emailed.
I cannot find where to enable this option.

outlook 2000 doesn't support a 'history' - it uses autoresolve only.
