Address book problems

B

Bill

In the Outlook inbox screen, I get the following error
message when I click on the address book icon.

"The address list could not be displayed. The contacts
folder associated with this address list could not be
opened; it may have been moved or deleted, or you do not
have permissions."

I have just upgraded from ME to XP. I copied my .pst
file in ME and downloaded it to the outlook .pst file in
XP.

I do have names in the contact folder, but cannot access
them through the address book icon.

Appreciate any guidance you can provide.

"downloaded it to the outlook.pst file?"
What does that mean?
Did you try to overwrite a PST file instead of configuring Outlook to use
another PST file?

I have the same problem accessing my address book. I was
using Outlook 2000 but recently installed Outlook 2003
B2. I imported the PST file from the old Outlook and
everything worked fine for about 10 days but now for the
past few days I get the msg: "The address list could not
be displayed. The contacts folder associated with this
address list could not be opened; it may have been moved
or deleted, or you do not have permissions." I cannot
send an email using address book. I have to manually
type in the TO address. Help would be appreciated.
