Address book security feature...

I

Ian Francis

I have Office 2002 Pro running on Windows XP. I have recently updated my
Office package with all available updates and have noticed a new, annoying
feature. Everytime I compose an e-mail I get the dialog box that states "A
program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do
you want to allow this?".

Is this a normal part of the security update, and if so, is there any way I
can disable it?

Thanks in advance,

Ian

Yes.

No. If you see this when you create a new message, I'd wager you're using
Word as your mail editor and that you have Adobe Acrobat installed. It is
Acrobat's PDFMaker add-in that is causing the problem. See
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2002sp3.htm#problems for instructions on
how to prevent that add-in from loading.
