Using outlook 2003. Trying to sort address book opend by clicking "to"
in an email on the "file as" option. Not working.
I've created an empty contacts folder in outlook 2003. All entries have
first name, last name, company and email address. The "file as" field
in each contact displays "COMPANY (LNAME, FNAME)".
I then did- Tools-> email accounts -> View or change -> Outlook add..
-> change-> show names by-> file as.
I even went through, deleting every address book, re-adding them and
starting from scratch both litereally and in the view or change tool.
Each time closing outlook and then restarting it.
All to no avail.
When I click the "to" button in an email, it still displays and is
sorted by "firstname lname".
Once I get this done, I then will need a VB snipit that will change all
contacts in a particular contact file to "file as" COMPANY (lname,
fname).
Thanks for any help you can give.
