Address Book

In my Address Book, how can I list all names with Last Name first?

Thanks,

Maybe the same problem I am having in Outlook 2007. Some names in Address
Book are listed Last, First. Other names are listed First Last. All entries
have been entered the same way. Any new contacts are shown in Address Book
as First Last, even though they are not in Contacts.

The NAME field is used in Address Book. It found it is All Document Fields,
but found no way to correct it to read Last, First. Since Address Book sorts
on this unaccessible field rather than Display As, I cannot use the Address
Book.

How can I get Address Book to use Last, First and sort on the Last?

There are only 2 options for sorting the Outlook Address Book:
First, Last
File As

State which you specified. Reading between the lines of your post, I suspect
your specified File As, but your File as field settings are different for
new Contacts than for existing Contacts. You're there. We're not. Look and
see.

I found the answer in the thread Address Book Name Sort:

Specify the sort order for the Address Book here:
Tools > Accounts >Address Book Tab > Outlook Address Book > Change...

It worked, but only after I exited and restarted Outlook. I suggest you
include that in advice when it obtains.

Thanks for the help!

We aim for the middle level user. Most users don't have to be told every
detail or can figure that part out for themselves.
