Address Book

On my home PC, in Word 2000, when I click Tools, Envelopes
and Labels, I would like to use the address book, but I
don't have Outlook installed. I have read where you can
use a 'personal address book', but I don't know what that
is or where to set it up. I can't find any documentation
on this. If someone could explain this to me, I would
greatly appreaciate it.

Is there anything else I can use as my source for
addresses?

Hi Mary,

Word requires a MAPI-registered address book. You don't need
to know what MAPI is (I don't, not really), but what is
important is that only very few programs support it. Outlook
is one. I think recent versions of WordPerfect may. The
Exchange Server "personal address book" (that's what you've
read about) and a Schedule+ list do, as well.

Really, the easiest way for you would be to install
Outlook...
