Address fields in .doc

I created a resume from a template that extracted my address/contact info etc. So when somebody else on another machine looks at this file (.doc) they get fields like <<address>> in place of what should actually be my address. Is there a way to let the file know to change the address field into regular text, so it will then look the same when others use MS Word etc. to open it?

Command + 6 or Command + Shift + F9.

Select the field and hit that combination to replace the address field with
the text of your address.

I would do this in the template, and then you will never need to think abut
it again. I have no idea who designed the template the way it is, but it's
not a great design decision :)

Hope this helps
