I have a label document i created in word 2000. It merges data from a txt
file. When address1 or address2 are blank the blank line is suppressed. In
2003 I cannot find a way to suppress the blank line.

Thanks for the reply, but this did not help. I had already read that the
merge process in 2003 is to automatically suppress blank lines, but this is
not the case.
I am not using an IF statement, the data for Address2 is simply blank, but
still is appearing as a blank line on the label.
